After Palm OS powered devices were gone--yes it's gone; way too underpowered for my need, Windows Mobile? iPhone? They all couldn't satisfy my need. Android? I have no clue, but with phone, I just don't need or ever want to have phone capability with my PDA anyway--WLAN & bluetooth should be enough.
It sounds like I want UMPC as a PDA replacement, huh? I have tried OQO model 02, but that's way too big to be pocketable. The Pandora is what I'm waiting to try now!! * ARM® Cortex™-A8 600Mhz+ CPU running Linux * 430-MHz TMS320C64x+™ DSP Core * PowerVR SGX OpenGL 2.0 ES compliant 3D hardware * 800x480 4.3" 16.7 million colours touchscreen LCD * Wifi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth & High Speed USB 2.0 Host * Dual SDHC card slots & SVideo TV output * Dual Analogue and Digital gaming controls * 43 button QWERTY and numeric keypad * Around 10+ Hours battery life * Around £199 (inc VAT), $330, Euro212 (Ex.VAT).
Not too shabby, huh? might be a little less powered but so? Thing I care more is size & battery life and it does pretty good. Now I have to wait for order availability! Look like it's up to luck to be able to grab one in the first batch.
