Well odometer is still odd sometimes..

What I am missing from TomTom 6 in Garmin Mobile PC so far:-
- point on the map destination; it just sucks to use other ways sometimes.
- better map interface? Although it looks better than Tomtom, I find it doesn't have anything better functionality and sometimes worse--roads are too big and don't help a thing + add confusion.
- be able to turn on/off any specific POI we want to see

So far.. if Tomtom has PC version, I will jump for it w/o reluctance.

The worst experience of using Eee as navigator is SSD collapsed w/o any reason. It stuck in the loop, couldn't get into Windows at all. Fortunately, I have Thinkpad X61t in my bag. Thus, X61t takes over Eee in the last day.

Whoa! big screen; fast response, but too big in this job.

2nd trip on Mobile PC Eee was unfortunate. Eee was dead again--it just couldn't load Windows again. BIOS works as it should; SSD was shown properly, but it just doesn't kick out.

I guess Eee (SSD version) wouldn't suit to be Mobile PC companion at all. It's just so unreliable. I will investigate what was wrong with SSD after going back to my room. New Hampshire trip was awesome though--I will post the great route for 1-day trip later on.

My Eee PC SSD was gone already. I left me no reliability at all, sometimes it's recognized, sometimes it's not at all. I am deciding if I should go for Encore SSD ($70) or buy cheap netbook HDD version (<$250) That's really tough if reliability & performance are concerned.

Last 2 trips with Eee PC, MBR was broken without any reason. Additionally, SSD had been wiped out once as well. I have to use my Thinkpad X61T as my main Garmin Mobile PC primarily. I would recommend to user only HDD version for the job.

FYI, on my Eee 702: I use standby all the time; page file enabled all the time; all map is in SD. It has no problem whatsoever for couple of months, almost every day of usage.
